AB Science is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company that has developed a diversified portfolio of drugs targeting major unmet medical needs. AB Science has two platforms:
The first platform is based on masitinib, a highly selective protein kinase inhibitor in late-stage development for neurodegenerative diseases, oncology and inflammatory diseases. AB Science has been able to advance the clinical development of masitinib, notably in neurodegenerative diseases (specifically Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and progressive forms of multiple sclerosis) to the end of phase 2B/3.
The second platform is a portfolio of next-generation synthetic microtubule destabilizing agents (MDAs). To date, two of these MDAs have entered the drug development pipeline. AB8939 is being developed for haematological malignancies and is in early clinical trials. A second oral MDA is being developed for oncology indications and is entering regulatory pre-clinical studies.
The Company also has drug discovery activities to add new compounds to its portfolio, subject to the availability of the necessary financial resources.

Alain is the co-founder and CEO of AB Science. He is a former strategic consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton and former Head of Corporate Development at Carrefour.
He is also President of AFIRMM, association of mastocytosis patients.
