About the speaker

Dr. John Mao is currently Senior Advisor of Chengdu DIAO Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. and President of JWM Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. Dr. Mao is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive with 30 years of experience in the biotech industry with a proven track record of successful management and execution of clinical, preclinical and CMC development programs from early phase development to regulatory approval including NDA/MAA submissions, as well as leading global regulatory efforts with active interactions with the FDA, EMA, BfArM, MFDS, NMPA, and TFDA. He managed, authored, and/or actively participated in the filing of 30+ INDs, 3 NDAs and 1 MAA throughout his career. Previously, Dr. Mao held senior management positions at several US biotech companies including SVP/Head of Development at Foresee Pharmaceuticals, VP of Nonclinical Development at Cytokinetics, Inc., and Executive Director and Senior Director at Praecis Pharmaceuticals and Idenix Pharmaceuticals.
