1. Summary of the Week
From December 6 to 12, a total of 27 agreements were signed worldwide. Within China’s biotech industry, there were two in-licensing deals, three out-licensing deals, and nine domestic deals.
The top out-licensing deal in China was between YaoPharma (Fosun Pharma) and Pfizer for the Phase 1 asset YP05002, with an upfront payment of $150 million and a total deal value of $2.09 billion. The top domestic deal was between Hasten Biopharma and Everest Medicines, covering 6 approved and filed assets, with an upfront payment of $29 million and total payments of up to $339 million.
Globally, 13 deals were announced. The top deal was between Dr. Reddy‘s Laboratories and Immutep for the Phase 3 asset Eftilagimod Alfa, with an upfront payment of $20 million and a total deal value of $3.695 billion.
