About the speaker
Dr. Kil is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sound Pharmaceuticals, a private late-stage biotech in Seattle. He has an extensive background in auditory neuroscience and otolaryngology R&D. He has led the development of SPI-1005, the first potential drug to treat hearing loss and tinnitus, through discovery, multiple INDs, and Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials. SPI-1005 recently received Breakthrough Therapy designation for the Treatment of Meniere’s Disease that involves hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, and vertigo. SPI is looking to advance Phase 3 clinical trials in Asia and Europe and has collaborations with leading academic centers in Asia and Europe.
