1. Summary of the Week

From September 1 to 11, a total of 30 biopharmaceutical licensing and collaboration transactions were announced globally. Of these, eight were China-related, defined as transactions involving at least one China-based company. These comprised two out-licensing deals, two in-licensing deals and four domestic partnerships.

In China, the largest transaction involved Hutchison China MediTech and GSK for the Phase I HMPL-A830 asset, with an upfront payment of $110 million and a total deal value of $1.3 billion.

Outside China, 22 deals were announced. The largest transaction involved Medicus Pharma and Pfizer for CD228V (PF-08046031), an early clinical-stage antibody-drug conjugate, with an upfront payment of $12 million and aggregate potential development, regulatory, and sales milestone payments exceeding $1.0 billion.
