About the speaker

Mr Klaus Nickisch started his career at Schering Ag where he stayed for 28 years, serving in numerous technical and managerial positions in Germany and the USA. His last position was Head of Global Project Management, overseeing all development projects of Schering AG with a team of around 80 people. After the merger of Schering with Bayer AG, he was part of the management team that started the female health biotech company Evestra Inc.,,San Antonio Tx., in 2008. At Evestra he served as CSO for 10 years and finally one year as interim CEO. Under his guidance, Evestra brought 4 vaginal ring projects into the clinic besides working on NCE projects. In 2020 Klaus decided to leave Evestra, in order to form a new biotech company focusing on vaginal drug delivery.
